The summer holidays have arrived, and so the age old question returns – what to do with the kids in the local area this summer?

We’ve put together our five favourite things to do in Farnborough over the school holidays so that come rain or shine, you’ve always got a plan!

Hawley Park Farm Country Park – Blackwater, Camberley

With 15 acres of beautiful open meadows, Hawley Park Farm Country Park is the perfect destination for a low-cost day out in the great outdoors. The park is home to an exciting play area for children of all ages as well as an abundance of wildlife, so be sure to pay it a visit with your little ones and bring the dog, too!

The British Motor Show – 18th-21st August, Farnborough

The iconic British Motor Show returns to Farnborough this August, packed with supercars, live shows, driving experiences and so much more! Kids can enjoy Go Karting, under 17 driving lessons, slot car racing, and even giant Scalextric, while the adults can test drive their dream cars, admire the latest and greatest from Aston Martin, Ferrari, and Lamborghini, and learn more about the future of Electric Vehicles. Oh, and did we mention there will be a live show filled with thrills, spills, and stunts and hosted by Wheeler Dealers’ Mike Brewer?

Teamsport Go Karting - Farnborough

If you can’t make the motor show, never fear – the kids can still show off their Go Karting skills at Teamsport Go Karting! With karting available for all kids aged 8-18, Teamsport offers a fantastic day out for older children. Their mixed racing sessions mean that parents and older siblings can race together with younger children, so head down today for the ultimate family adventure!

Picnic & Pop Festival – 30th-31st July, Manor Park, Aldershot,

Enjoy a weekend of live music, fun fair rides, and tasty treats from over 30 food and drink stalls at Picnic and Pop Family Festival in Manor Park, Aldershot! With live music from local talent as well as tribute acts for ABBA, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and Adele, this is not a festival to be missed – especially as its just a 10 minute drive away from Farnborough!

There will also be crafts and circus skills at the festival, so there’s bound to be something for all the family to enjoy. Head down to Manor Park on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st July to join in the fun!

360 Play - Farnborough

True to its name, 360 Play Farnborough is really an all-rounder when it comes to keeping the kids happy this summer! If it’s soft play you’re looking for, there’s an indoor soft play area designed specifically for kids aged four to 12 and a toddlers-only section for all kids under four. The indoor area is also home to mini dodgems, a musical carousel, messy play area, and ‘Imagination Street’ – a space where they can let their imagination run wild going shopping at the supermarket, playing dress up at Twirl’s Boutique, nursing animals at the vet, cooking pizzas at the pizza parlour and so much more. If it’s a nice warm day, there’s even an outdoor play area, paddle boats, and a sandpit to enjoy!
