I have been with Prospect nearly 5 months now. Before starting, I was completely fresh to the industry with no experience but since joining I’ve never looked back.
I like to get to work a little earlier, make myself a cuppa and go through emails that came in overnight. After this, we have our morning meeting where we talk about the day just gone and the day ahead. Simon, my manager, will tell me about any exciting new properties that have come onto the market and we will discuss offers as well as new buyers that have registered with us.
The beauty of this job is that no two days are the same. Being based in Prospect’s newest office, I am out most mornings canvasing, generating new business and spreading the word that we’re new in town.
My afternoons vary - one day I’ll be out all afternoon showing prospective buyers’ properties, hoping to get a deal whilst finding someone their dream home! The next, I’ll be in the office calling buyers, getting to know them and what they're looking for and then booking them into anything that matches. Other days, I may be in training, visiting our other offices and getting to know ‘the Prospect way’ or shadowing more experienced members of staff.
Prospect is a great company to work for, a company who really value their staff. The training, help and support offered by senior staff, I believe, is invaluable. The career path I am on is great. This job is so rewarding and if you are willing to work hard, you will progress within the company. That is evident with all senior members of staff starting as trainees.
They really do care about my development not only as an estate agent but also as a character. They are always encouraging me to be the best version of myself.
